James Parish

James studied dentistry at Queens University and during his studies there he was awarded the prestigious Leo Heslin medal by the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. He also graduated with a distinction in his dental degree.
After graduating from Queens, James moved to England to take up a post in dental practice in Bristol. From there he moved to Cheltenham where he also worked in dental practice. During this period in England James continued furthering his knowledge through extensive studies and this resulted in him achieving the award of the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons England.

Following this James returned to Northern Ireland to take up a post in Belfast Dental Hospital. However he missed the challenge and variety of working in a dental practice and we are fortunate to have him join our team at CassidyDental.

James enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially helping people overcome their fear and making their treatment easy. He has a special interest in repairing teeth so they look natural. He also has a special interest in the replacement of missing teeth and to advance this interest further he is currently studying for a master’s degree in Dental Implantology at the University of Bristol. James is also interested in Dentistry on a national level and represents other dentists on the committee for the Northern Ireland Branch of the British Dental association

For relaxation he plays seven musical instruments in various groups. He has performed in the Royal Albert Hall and in the Royal Palace in Madrid.  James even finds the time to play rugby on Saturdays for his local team.
